Job Summary
Our Maintenance Associates are responsible for keeping the entire property clean, safe, and presentable. This includes both the inside of the travel center and exterior areas used by customers and professional drivers. We need someone who notices problems before a customer has to point them out. A clean parking lot, clean fuel island, clean restroom, and well-maintained building are all part of the customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Inside Responsibilities:
- Clean floors, entrances, windows, counters, and common areas.
- Clean and sanitize customer restrooms.
- Empty trash and replace liners.
- Clean spills and respond quickly to housekeeping needs.
- Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Inspect the facility for problems that need repair.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks when qualified to do so.
- Outside Responsibilities:
- Pick up trash throughout the property.
- Empty exterior trash containers.
- Keep sidewalks and entrances clean.
- Maintain parking areas and customer-facing exterior areas.
- Keep fuel islands and surrounding areas clean.
- Clean around fuel dispensers using approved procedures.
- Check exterior lighting and report problems.
- Assist with seasonal property maintenance.
- Help with snow and ice removal when needed.
- Report fuel spills, damaged equipment, safety hazards, or other concerns immediately.
Qualifications
- Dependable and self-motivated.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and safety.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
- Able to work in varying weather conditions.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
- Basic maintenance experience is helpful but not required.
